Taishou Yakyuu Musume – 1

Summary:

The story starts with Koume getting a sailor uniform. Surprisingly, all of that was really a dream and she wakes up. She wants a sailor uniform, but her father wants her to wear a kimono. She gets lectured at in front of the school for running, but fortunately Anna-sensei saves her. Plus while getting her shoes, she finds a letter from Akiko.

Akiko and Koume talk during their break. Before she says the favor, she wishes Koume to say yes. After she said yes, Akiko asks her to play baseball. Akiko tries to gather some girls after school to make a baseball team. Some girls get together to watch the boys play…and all of them run away except for Koume and Akiko. Koume is worried that her father won’t let her play.

Later, we find out that Akiko’s reasons for wanting to play baseball with guys is because of a guy she met. He said that a girl’s place is in the home. She wants to play baseball because he said he was a baseball player. In the end, two more people join, Kawashima and Souya. They also get some used equipment. Good progress ^.^

Thoughts

This series seems promising for the summer lineup. It’s set in 1925, which is pretty untouched for me. Also Baseball can be really interesting. There seems to be no romance so far.
