20 seconds, difference of 2 points. Kamiya makes the last basket and the score is tied. Free throw, Kamiya~ Yamapi~ And it came back to the violin girl. She snapped a string >.< That concludes it for her. Back to Kamiya~ He shoots…he doesn’t score -.- 3 seconds on the clock, and they make it =] Woohoo Arcs, win.

Kamiya forgot his cell phone and runs after the bus. Riko picks up his phone and she arranges to return the phone to the coach. They get ready to leave as a fireworks display starts and he comes back to ask for her number.

Kamiya proposes to his girlfriend if he wins his next game. But they lose the game and are eliminated from the playoffs.

Anyways…good drama. I’ll be following this for the rest of the season for sure.

Biker chick, Mari, comes to the rescue~ Yay =] So in the middle of the episode, I was thinking how they’re going to animate the effects of the earthquake for the next 9 episodes. That’s a lot of time to cover.

Again with the clueless Mirai. She’s so reckless. They finally find Yuuki in the drink store. This episode is so exciting ^.^ There’s fires, hard rain, aftershocks, so much better than the last episode. Their phones are so cool, watching news and all that.

Mirai doesn’t trust people…or she tries to be all mature and crap. Of course a good person would come back. cake shape matters after all =P I prefer triangle slices though. Cuz if the wants are different, they can buy a slice just for that person.

Lawrence wakes up from a dream that he had of when Horo transformed. He looks for information about chroniclers to find out about folktales, probably to find out about Horo’s hometown. Horo can’t read =P Horo’s excited for the festival, but Lawrence has something else in mind. Horo’s disappointed but doesn’t want to interfere with his work.

He meets Amati at a bar. Amati asks if he could show Horo around town. Bartose takes Lawrence to a place where it smells and there’s a lot of birds. It looks totally deserted though. So somebody DOES live there after all. Dean Rubens is a girl =] Call her Deanna. Her house is stacked with books. She really does look like a witch -.- like she could summon something out of the blue.

Lawrence asks her about Yoitsu. Haha, she pulled a book without even making sure the ones above it didn’t fall. Her mind’s like a database. The legend descibed Horo very accurately. So he gets a major clue as to where Yoitsu is, between Renose and the forests to the east.

Lawrence finds out that Horo has been hanging out with Amati. Amati bought a lot of things for Horo, like that fur scarf…that looks like a tail -.-

Horo also bought a natural formed stone that looked like gold. The fortune teller advertising them had correct predictions.

Again? YES AGAIN! >.< I’m so pissed. I want something new. Basically there was nothing new to say about this. There’s outfit changes, background character changes, and that one looping scene with Haruhi leaving the cafe before the last one…4 times. There’s been too much looping. Another waste of 25 minutes. Kyon should do something already. 15,521 times which equals 595 years worth. He used his cellphone calculator this time =P

I already saw this the last episode, but now George confirms the ring on Shannon’s right hand, ring finger. The dining room floor is covered in blood…and the freakiest part is when Maria makes her evil smirk. Maria marks the seventh circle of the sun. Everyone’s confined on the island, trapped room murder =] Just like Detective Conan. Well, let’s not drag DC into this. The master is nowhere to be found.

Battler takes the stage by concluding that it’s weird that the culprit took the key to the shed and then put it back where it belonged. Eva adds on, but in secret, that the servants are more suspicious and that they might be working together.

Battler pushes himself into a conversation between the servants. The topic of the convo: Beatrice. She exists and she’s arrived. I can’t tell if Maria’s taken over by Beatrice or if she just has a lot of knowledge.

Eva starts accusing Natsuhi for their father’s abesense and when they’re about to get violent, Battler stops them by laughing. He then states his reasoning that Eva has nothing to clear her innocence either because she did odd things.

It ends with Eva and Hideyoshi dead.

Valkyria Chronicles – 15

It’s still weird knowing that the sky doesn’t turn dark until 8 o’clock. I mean, usually when I watch TV, it’s already night time, but during summer, the setting sun shows through the window and it gets annoying.

Anyways, onto Valkyria Chronicles 15: the songstress’ past. I’m guessing this is about Rosie. The pencil shaded hair is less noticeable. Alicia blushes easily at Faldio’s actions too. Both squads 1 and  7 get a break, plus there’s gonna be a party. Faldio tells Welkin that he really likes Alicia. Faldio probably knows that Welkin has a close relationship with Alicia too. He keeps showing that troubled look.

Rosie gets picked to sing for the performance during the afternoon. Welkin’s awkward around Alicia. Everyone looks forward to hearing Rosie sing, but she doesn’t want to. How stubborn. Why can’t she just have fun? -.- Can’t sing in front of Darcsens…wth. Isara is absentminded while remembering what Rosie said and sprays Ramal with water.

Isara approaches Rosie and asks her why she hates Darsens. In her village, because there were a lot of Darcsens, the army came. Darcsens kicked their door down asking to hide in their house, which Rosie’s father agreed. The Darcsens killed Rosie’s mother and father. They were so reckless, too reckless. I would hate those Darcsens, but not all in general. But her feelings do make sense. I can’t believe they made this whole episode for Rosie’s past.

Isara sacrifices her participation in the party for Rosie to sing. Welkin agrees, but only after Isara insists. Alicia finds out, calls Welkin an idiot, and runs away. Meanwhile, Isara and Ramal talk, but she tells him to leave her alone. Alicie releases her anger by complaining to Faldio. Of course the moon is better than the sun. The sun releases hot rays that burn -.- I hate the sun, but it is the source of life. Still hating it. Faldio makes Isara appear at the party.

Yay Rosie’s singing. Like an idol~ She looks like she’s really enjoying it. It ends with Faldio confessing to Alicia.

Teppei falls asleep on Yuu’s b00bs -.- Interesting pillow and she’s amazingly calm about it too. He even leaves a huge drool spot on them. =p How awkward. Teppei finds out that his home is a gigantic mansion. He has a maid army =] He should be happy. At least he compromised to being called Teppei-sama instead of master.

His room shines -.- how blinding. Omg…flashbacks. Lots and lots of flashbacks and bouncing b00bs. I think they add more in the flashbacks than what really was shown last episode. Sylvia’s like a mix between female Tadase and Saber. Although the Saber comparison makes more sense.

Lol Nyaa~ Being dressed in the morning by maids. He sounded so funny when embarassed. Censored panties -.- Even though censoring panties is okay..but black shrouds is just overdoing it. So this episode is where two other girls are introducted in addition to Sylvia and Charlotte.

If they go as far to put a black shround under their skirts…why don’t they just like draw the skirts longer or something. Seika is okay. I’m glad her b00bs don’t bounce every step she takes. Just the sound of Arima makes everyone clap and cheer for him. A shining pretty boy. Even the guys wanna become friends with him.

Charlotte sees Teppei in his class and surprises him. She glomps him and they end up in a weird position -.- Sylvia walks in on the weird situation. Looks like Seika has something against Arima.

Charlotte and Teppei go to the fencing..club? to make ammends. Charlotte says a lot of uneccessary stuff and yeah. Teppei agrees to duel Sylvia.

Reika vs. Oka vs. Midorikawa and Toudou vs. Ozaki to see who can make it to the New York tournament. Only 1 male and 1 female will participate.

Reika and Oka and Midorikawa win their first games. Todou and Ozaki does too. Midorikawa’s mom calls saying her dad got into an accident, but she doesn’t go to see him.

Reika vs. Midorikawa second game. Midorikawa doesn’t have a lot of concentration though and therefore isn’t playing correctly. She surrenders the game to go to her father. Oka wins her second game too. Munagata makes her play against Toudou for training. She actually gets to the point where she can return the serves correctly. Toudou wins against Ozaki.

Reika vs. Oka next. I don’t feel like blogging ep 9 or the special…but I have seen them and I have to say if you’ve gotten to ep 8, yu just gotta finish it.

Ace wo Nerae! – 7

After talking to Otowa while she teachers little kids how to play tennis, she gets back on her track. Midorikawa tells Hiromi about Munagata never being able to play tennis again. Hiromi goes to his house and they talk. “Play tennis for yourself.”

New blocks are decided. Houriki and Oka first match. Houriki got dumped by her boyfriend right before the match so her concentration is off. She’s also ignoring Hiromi. Houriki was playing for her boyfriend, but now there’s nothing to play for anymore. And with that, Oka wins of course. The matches that Oka’s won so far…haven’t been really exciting. And she even lost one.

Oka runs stairs until she collapses. Toudou finds her after going back to get his keys, but the stadium closes right after he went in. He holds her really tight and it’s warm, but that thought of drowning in love is still in her head. Munagata comes back and sees him holding her, then takes her away.

Oka tells Munagata that she loves Toudou. Surprisingly, he didn’t object to anything. “You can do what you want to do.”

Oka vs. Midorikawa next. Oka is on par with her. Midorikawa wins the first set and the second set. >.< Oka loses q.q so sad, but lots of people are realizing that she has potential. Even Ryuzaki’s father says that even if his daughter is dropped, he wants Oka to remain as a national youth member.

Toudou gives Oka the first medal he’s ever won and tells her to hold it until he can become a man suitable for her. Munagata falls down while sitting and collapses.

Ace wo Nerae! – First Impressions

•July 14, 2009 • Leave a Comment

I decided to only watch Ace wo Nerae! because I have an interest in tennis. I was hoping that it’d be more realistic than Prince of Tennis and it is =] Princess of Tennis was really good too, but it didn’t show very realistic hardships in the sport.

At first, a girl named Oka Hiromi joins the tennis club at Nishi High School to get closer to Ryuzaki Reika. She’s the best player on the team. Soon after, a new coach joins and totally changes the way things are done. The starters for tournaments and competitions are changed. And the surprising part is Hiromi is a regular although being a beginner.

Minagata, the coach, sees potential in Hiromi; she can become a top world player. Going through special training, she gets better and better. She gets bullied by the third-years, but still perserveres. Well, she tried to quit the club ones, but came back only after missing 4 days.

Ryuzaki started ignoring her because she chose tennis instead. Toudou, the person she probably has a crush on, is avoiding her because Munagata told him to not interrupt her aspirations.

She learned how to play doubles with Ryuzaki and they won the finals. Hiromi gets the opportunity to be able to compete at the international level. She loses sight of her goal and doesn’t know why she wants to be a pro anymore. She loses her second match and disappoints her coach.

And this leads to episode 7, where I’m at right now.
